Con Edison Rebates Make Home Comfort Systems More Affordable!
Tuesday, February 16th, 2010The greening of America isn’t just a concept…more and more, it’s becoming a reality.
The success of this rapidly expanding movement has a lot to do with energy conservation rebates and tax credits. From now through the end of 2010, for example, you can still earn a 30% tax credit on your purchase of high efficiency, Energy Star certified home heating or air
conditioning system. In most cases, the maximum credit is $1,500, but if you purchase a heat pump system (combined heating and cooling), your tax credit is 30% on your entire purchase, including labor, with no top end limit.
And now Con Edison is sweetening the pot with some generous rebates of their own, and here are just a few examples:
|
Eligible Equipment Rebate Amount Efficiency Rating |
|
Furnace $400 AFUE ≥92 w/ ECM* |
|
Furnace 600 AFUE ≥94 w/ECM |
| Water Boiler 1,000 AFUE≥90 |
| Steam Boiler 500 AFUE ≥82 |
|
Duct & Air Sealing 600 Blower Door & Duct Blaster Test |
|
Energy Star Thermostat 25 Energy Star |
|
*ECM = Electronically Commutated Motor, one that uses less energy than a conventional motor, thereby further reducing your heating related costs.

In some cases, you may also qualify for direct savings from Frank & Lindy and, in still other cases, available manufacturer rebates.
Underlying each discount and rebate is one essential point, and that is each one is tied to energy-efficient equipment. So if you purchase a
qualifying system or component, you can count on the kind of energy savings that by themselves can and will cover the cost of your system over time.
There’s lots more to know, and the professional home comfort specialists at Frank & Lindy can answer all your questions today AND help you save every dollar to which you’re entitled.
